SimplexRadio.net is where you will find information about the (Lancaster County) Simplex Net. A couple of hams in the area started this net because it just seemed like a fun thing to do. Talking from person to person, antenna to antenna is just cool. It’s been that way since kids first started playing with walkie-talkies and we want to keep it that way.
Right now, this site is focused on two things:
- Documentation about our net, like procedures and the net script (these can be found in the main menu above).
- Resources for hams to become better simplex operators like the area band plan, and tools to predict who can hear you (these are found in the extra menus at sides or bottom of every page).
As we get more momentum, we’d like to see this site become a destination for hams in a larger area. Along the way we want to enjoy hobby radio, get to know some new people, and be prepared in case of emergencies.
If there’s something on your mind, there are lots of ways to make contact. We look forward to hearing from you,
